The stock gained momentum following the release of its October passenger traffic update. By 9:36 AM, GMR Airports shares were trading at ₹80.35, up 2.95%, while the BSE Sensex rose by 0.91% to 78,044.15. The company’s market capitalization stood at ₹84,841.37 crore, with its 52-week high and low recorded at ₹103.7 and ₹56.4, respectively.

Passenger Traffic Growth and Operational Highlights

GMR Airports reported handling over 10.7 million passengers across its managed airports in October 2024, reflecting a 9.2% year-on-year (YoY) growth. Hyderabad Airport alone surpassed the 2 million domestic passenger mark, showcasing strong domestic travel demand.

Total air movements for October 2024 increased by 9% YoY to 71,598. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis in FY25, the company managed 0.65 million metric tonnes of cargo, representing a 14.8% YoY growth. Monthly cargo volumes exceeded 1 lakh metric tonnes consistently since September 2024.

Additionally, GMR announced the completion of Mopa (Goa) Airport’s expansion, which will boost its passenger capacity from 4.4 million to 7.7 million, further strengthening its operational capabilities.
